For the best French fries and chicharron (fried pork) sandwiches. There are a few different branches across the city with two in Miraflores (Parque Kennedy and the Larcomar Mall). The sweet potato fries are incredible!

Very delicious goulash and fun music. A little on the pricy side, but not by much. Hot alcoholic beverages and coffees in addition of a small selection of non-alcoholic cocktails including “safe sex on the beach.” List of allergens in four languages with pictures in the back of menu.

With over 13 rooms, live music every night, movie showings, delicious food, hookah, cheap drinks, and never a cover, the first ruin pub (a bar/pub/club in a formerly abandoned building) is not a place to miss. You will find both tourists and locals every night of the week and the place is packed on weekends. Get lost in the building or grab a map (yes, a map) of the building as you come in the front door. Of the three we suggest, this is the most low key. For more of a club scene head to Fogashàz. If you’re looking for great live music of all sorts head to Instant. These are all located in the Jewish District and easily walkable. When you’re done for the night, take the 4-6 Tram that runs all night, back home.

Every Suday evening, historic Phuket Old Town is host to an open air artisan market selling art, jewelry, plants, herbs, used clothes, street food, and more. Lined with restored Sino-Portuguese architecture, book shops, boutiques, cafes, and restaurants keep longer hours and welcome pedestrians inside for cool drinks. You’ll probably catch traditional Thai dance performances or children from local school groups raising money for various causes on the island. Shop till you drop or take in the free scenery.

Packed with large tables and a board game library, Café Mox is a game lover’s dream. Attached to Card Kingdom, one of Seattle’s premier game stores, Café Mox has access to hundreds of games for you to play as you and your friends eat and drink reasonably priced fare. On a Friday night you may have to wait a while for a table (~1 hour), but that’s because they don’t ask patrons to leave and you will be competing for tables with Friday Night Magic. Vegan and some gluten free options.
